Wowww it’s been ages since I’ve revisited The Authority! (Or used LJ for that matter.) Don’t know if anyone even remembers I used to draw them.. Anyway:

I participated in a Charity Art Auction, in which 100+ alumni produced art of their favorite superheroes to bid on. Apollo and Midnighter remain my main guys, but it seemed like a raw deal to stop there so I did the whole classic team: Jenny Sparks, Apollo, Midnighter, The Engineer, Swift, Jack Hawksmoor, and The Doctor will always hold a special place in my heart :)

This auction benefits the ”Jules Jammal Scholarship”, which was set up in his memory. 100% of the proceeds will go towards funding annual scholarships for future SJSU Animation/ Illustration students who embody the work ethic and character that Jules demonstrated while he was a student and faculty member within the program. Your contribution will help other students pursue their dreams as Jules did, and in so doing, perpetuate the spirit that made Jules a special person in all of our lives.

I was just thinking about your Authority art (and the little charms I still have kicking around :3) -- one of my Japanese cosplay mates just got introduced to the series, and it looks like we're going to be cosplaying Apollo and the Midnighter come November \o/
